NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) - A second man has been charged in a NewBedford cold case.
Terrell Baptiste, 24, of New Bedford has been indicted on murdercharges in the previously unsolved June 2006 homicide of AntonioSemedo, 35.
Baptiste is currently serving a 15-year federal prison sentencerelated to drug charges.
Prosecutors said the murder is a case of mistaken identity. Semedowas shot while sitting inside his car on the off ramp of Route118 in New Bedford, because he resembled a gang member.
Reggie Greene, 28, is alsofacing murder charges. He is being held without bail afterpleading not guilty.
No word on when Baptiste will be arraigned.
Police identified her as 52-year-old Fernanda Mariano of New Bedford.
