BREWSTER, Mass. (WPRI) -- Firefighters were called to the scene of a massive church fire on Cape Cod Friday morning.
The flames broke out at the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church on Route 6A in Brewster around 3:00 a.m. -- and quickly spread.
Photos from the scene appear to show the church's roof collapsed in on itself during the fire. There are no reports of any injuries, and no word on what may have sparked the three alarm blaze.
The American Red Cross also responded to the scene -- assisting first responders with the frigid temperatures.
The destruction comes just days ahead of the first Sunday of Advent -- the official start to the Christmas season.
