JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- An off-duty police officer was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Jamestown.
A car and a motorcycle collided at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Road and Westwind Drive, according to police.
The victim has been identified as 43-year-old John Reposa Jr. of the Providence Police Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified the driver of the car as Marijke Landon, 44, of North Carolina. He was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and police have not filed any charges in the case.
