In East Providence, Riverside Troop Four dropped off bags at residents' homes Saturday morning. Between now and next Saturday, residents are asked to fill those bags with non-perishable items to be donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
The annual event is part of the scouts' effort to help end hunger.
