BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI)- "The Conjuring" has raked in more than $80 million at the box office.
The film's success is bringing a lot of unwanted attention to the family that now owns the home, and they say it's having an effect on their health.
The owners, who did not want to be identified, say their phone number and address have been plastered all over the internet. People have been flocking to the home, driving by, and coming up to the door.
"Somebody drove in this driveway, parked next to my car, got out, took pictures of the property and left," the homeowner said.
The owners of the supposed haunted home say they have been receiving non-stop prank phone calls at all hours and threats over the internet.
A no trespassing sign and chain has been installed across the driveway, but it is not stopping curious people from stopping by.
The owners say they will press charges against anyone who trespasses.
