SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Thanksgiving holiday turned violent for a family in Scituate. Now, a father is dead and his son is charged with murder.
The frantic 911 call came in to the Scituate Police Department at 12:17 p.m. On the other end, according to police accounts, a hysterical woman reporting a serious disturbance at 58 Moswansicut Lake Drive.
When they arrived, police found Milo Dunbar, 71, had been beaten several times with a baseball bat.
Emergency crews rushed Dunbar to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later died.
While on scene, police arrested the victim's son, Paul Dunbar, 27.
He was arraigned on one count of murder at Kent County District Court Friday morning and ordered held without bail.
Police said they were exploring additional charges.
