PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- The man known as the "Bearded Bandit" has been sentenced to more than 6 years behind bars for a string of local robberies.
Justin Worley, 34, went before a judge Friday morning and was sentenced to 73 months after pleading guilty to 9 bank robberies .
Worley was also sentenced to three years of supervised release following his prison term and will have to make full restitution to the banks in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts that he robbed.
Upon entering his guilty plea, Worley admitted to robbing a total of $32,633 from the banks between February and September of last year.
He was arrested at a Seekonk motel back in September and has been held ever since.
