Below is the story filed earlier, before girl was located.
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a 13-year-old girl who was last seen in the area of Ferry Landing Circle in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth and Rhode Island State Police are seeking the public's help in locating the teen who was last seen leaving her home with an unknown male who was not familiar to the family.
She was last seen on Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. She is 4'11'', about 110 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple t-shirt and a blue sapphire Alex and Ani bracelet.
A witness said he saw the teen leave her house with a man in his 40s.
"I was cutting grass earlier and something caught my eyes. When I looked back, I saw a guy and a little girl leaving from the house. It looked like they were in kind of a hurry but I would never expect it was something bad, I could only see the guy was in the front and just kind of pulling her," he said.
In a news conference on Wednesday afternoon police said that though the teen may have left the home voluntarily, she may be in great danger.
"She has not been seen or heard from now since about 9 this morning. Anytime a child that age goes missing for that period of time and is unaccounted for it is cause for major concern," said interim Police Chief Jeffrey Furtado. "We have conducted a search of the residence and the immediate surrounding area - we requested State Police to respond with their K-9 unit."
According to police, she may be accompanied by a white male, between the ages of 40 and 45 approximately 5'9'' tall, unshaven with a thin build.
They may be traveling in a red Chrysler Sebring or Concorde with faded paint. The car is an older model, 4 door, with unknown registration and possibly a New Jersey plate.
Investigators also took a computer from the girl's home hoping it will lead to clues to who she may be with.
Anybody with information is urged to call the Rhode Island State Police at 401-462-6237, or Portsmouth Police at 401-683-0300.
