Providence police investigating after driver hits woman, takes off

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Providence police are investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in the capital city.

It happened at the intersection of Atwells Avenue and Acorn Street early Saturday morning.

Police believe the suspect was driving a dark colored sedan.

The victim's condition is unclear at this time.

No arrests have been made.
