PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – According to court documents filed on Friday, Justin Worley, the so-called ‘Bearded Bandit' has agreed to plead guilty in federal court to robbing eight banks in Rhode Island and one in Massachusetts.
Documents say the ‘Bearded Bandit' will plead guilty to nine counts of bank robbery. Worley plans to admit to the court that he entered the banks , used implied or explicit threats, and robbed the banks of a total of $32,633.

According to documents, the ‘Bearded Bandit' will admit to robbing the eight Rhode Island banks between April 16 and September 18 and one in Massachusetts on February 23.
Worley was arrested at a motel in Seekonk back on September 19, he has been in federal custody since November 15.
Bank robbery is punishable by a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison followed by up to 3 years supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
