Thousands of runners hit the streets for the 2012 CVS Caremark Downtown 5k on Sunday, September 16 in Providence, Rhode Island. Featured races of the day include the CVS Caremark Downtown 5k, The Tufts Health Plan High School Inspirational 3k and youth races of varying distances. This beautiful weathered race day was ideal for walkers and runners of all ages and has become Rhode Island's largest running and walking event.
As the official media sponsor, WPRI.com has the the 5K race video, real-time race results, and photo galleries of the three race groups. On Monday September 17, catch all the race day highlights on the 5k Wrap Up special, televised at 7 p.m. on WPRI 12.
