CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI/WNAC) - The Target 12 Investigators have gotten their hands on some hidden camera video that you'll want to see. Target 12 Investigator Tim White joined The Rhode Show to share more about his exclusive investigation, "Beat the Clock."

"The entire tape is four minutes and 35 seconds, and it is a city worker from the Cranston School Department, he walks into the video, he pops the shell off a time clock, which is supposed to be locked, reaches in, starts adjusting the time, and punches multiple time cards. And of course, that implicates possibly not only himself, but other people there, since there are multiple time cards," explained Tim White.

Tim also said it was thanks to the Cranston School Department for allowing Target 12 access to that room with the time clock.

"While our cameras were rolling, the school official reaches in, grabs the clock, pops the shell right off. So, that means that thing is wide open all the time. And it does raise some serious questions about who had access to it," said Tim.

This investigation began when an anonymous tipster sent a package to The Target 12 Investigative unit.

"It was anonymous. It came in the mail with a one line note, alleging time card fraud - as soon as we popped it in the deck, we knew we had to check it out," explained Tim.

However, there are some possible legal issues regarding the tape. The question is, who took the video?

"I can tell you the school department didn't take it, I talked to the police department, they didn't take it. The school department feels very strongly it's a disgruntled employee that reached out to Channel 12."

Tim also confirmed that at this point, the Cranston Police Department has opened a criminal investigation.
