(FOX Providence) - It's the tale that's as old as time, and it's about to hit the stage at the Providence Performing Arts Center. But before the curtains go up, The Rhode Show is taking a behind the scenes tour.
It's the classic story of a seductress disguised as an old beggar woman who offers a young prince a rose in exchange for a night's shelter.
When he turns her away, she turns him into an ugly beast. And the only way he can turn back into a handsome prince is to fall in love and someone love back, before all the petals of a rose fall she gave him falls off, if not....he will remain a beast forever.
The national tour of Beauty and the Beast kicks off at PPAC on February 9th.
