This week on Executive Suite: Bruce Katz, vice president of the Brookings Institution, with Treasurer Gina Raimondo; Thomas Lyons, partner at Strauss, Factor, Laing & Lyons.

Katz, a nationally known expert on economic development who leads the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, was invited to Rhode Island by Raimondo to discuss how he thinks Rhode Island can reboot its economy. He discusses how the city has changed since he attended Brown University and which of its assets matter most.

Lyons, a veteran Providence lawyer, is serving on the American Bar Association's Task Force on the Future of Legal Education, which will report later this year on what changes should be made to fix what some say is a broken model for training new lawyers. He outlines the problems and offers advice for would-be legal students.
