Just Chillin

CRANSTON, R.I. (FOX Providence) - Our TV Maitre d' Joe Zito has discovered a new Cranston hot spot which he says is "really cool!"

The dog days of August are perfect for chilling. Just Chillin is the kind of place that appeals to that little kid in all of us. This ice cream dream was opened in May on Park Avenue in Cranston by Dr. Cosmos Haralambidis and his brother Elias, not far from where they grew up. And it was much more than a business venture to them. It was an investment in America's future via the past.

Dr. Haralambidis goes on to say that, "It's all about the kids and bringing family together, and bringing America back to it's roots. Our family thought was to bring back America to it's strongest time... the big glorious chrome vehicles, thinking of going into space, the 1950's... and bringing it all back to now, 2010."

Just Chillin takes you back to a simpler time, with simpler pleasures, like cool ice cream on a hot summer's day. Inside, you'll find a wonderfully retrofitted, immaculate ice cream parlor. On the outide is a landscaped patio right next to the bike path!

And for those with a healthy concious, well... Dr. Haralambidis knows a thing or two about that, since he's also an Orthodontist! "We have sugar-free items but we also try to think about a full range of children that have nut allergies. In the medical field, dental field, we try to think of every aspect of kids and family from lactose intolerant children, allergies to nuts, and keeping everything as sterile as possible. That's the component I see from my office to this place, keeping everything clean."

So stop in... it's worth a little extra flossing.
