WARWICK, R.I. (FOX Providence) - Today in Quick Bites, our TV Maitre d' Joe Zito visits another local treasure.
He introduced us to a restaurant in Warwick that is housed in a former historic factory. Zito calls the Iron Works Tavern a delicious slice of Rhode Island history.
Owner Joe Piscopio said the restaurant opening was a long time coming, but well worth the wait.
"That is why we serve in this portion of the building. It had potential. This had the potential of a nice restaurant in a nice hotel," said Piscopio.
The restaurant is located near T.F. Green airport, something Piscopio said is very important.
