WARWICK, R.I. (FOX Providence) - It's been almost a year since the devastating floods hit Rhode Island last March. And in that time, the Warwick Mall has made some serious changes.
Macy's , the mall's anchor store, is getting ready to open their doors to the public.
Avid Macy's shoppers will notice the entire 186,000 square-foot structure has been completely restored and renovated.
The main floor is dedicated to beauty and fashion. Ready-to-wear, dresses, suits and shoes and men’s furnishings now occupy the whole floor.
The main floor also is home to an expanded shoe department which will feature footwear from Nine West; Jessica Simpson; Coach, Vince Camuto, DKNY and Anne Klein to name a few.
The second level is where customers will find home and kids, juniors, womens and seasonal apparel.
Other features to look forward to: more open space to shop, photography of Rhode Island, updated fitting rooms, registers located on the aisles and more.
Shops to be opened throughout the year include Starbucks, which is scheduled to open in April and the Sunglass Hut.
Macy's has hired back the majority of its workers that lost their jobs last year and still has open positions available.
The grand re-opening of the Warwick Mall Macy's is Wednesday, March 16. Doors open at 9 a.m.
