SUFFOLK, VA - Friday's homecoming game will go on as planned at King's Fork High School.

New stadium lights are expected to be installed this Thursday at King's Fork High School after four poles were removed in September, Suffolk Schools spokesperson Bethanne Bradshaw told WAVY.com.

The four light poles were removed as a precautionary measure after several of the poles were found to be defective.

On September 3, a large light pole fell at Norview High School creating quite a scare. It was later found that the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning concerning the steel stadium poles. All games at Norview were subsequently canceled for the season.

But with the new lights installed, King's Fork will be able to have their first game at home. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
