One of the chef's The Rhode Show has had on in the past, Nick Rabar, is preparing to go to a national competition. Chef Rabar will compete with 19 other chefs from across the country in the Great American Seafood Cookoff.
Governor Don Carcieri will host Chef Rabar at a send off reception on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Chef Rabar will represent Rhode Island at the cookoff in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Chef Rabar is one of 20 chefs from across the nation that will vie for the title of King or Queen of American Seafood at the annual competition.
The Seafood Cookoff will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2009.
Chef Rabar is the executive chef of the Chow Fun Food Group, which owns and operates several restaurants in Providence, including Ten Prime Steak & Sushi, Café Noir, Rick’s Roadhouse, Chinese Laundry, and Luxe Burger Bar.
