(WPRI/WNAC) - It's been just over three months since the Target 12 Investigators brought you an in-depth investigation known as, "Down the Drain", involving the Providence Sewer Department.

Target 12 undercover cameras captured workers using city vehicles for personal use, even using city equipment and materials at a sewer foreman's house.

Target 12 also started to follow two DPW workers around.

"It turns out they were using city trucks on the clock out of the city, all against city policy. Which prompted us to ask, all right, who's running this hen house? So, we started to follow a guy named Algot Abrahamson . He is a supervisor for the DPW City Department," said Target 12 Investigator Tim White on The Rhode Show Monday morning.

The Target 12 undercover unit then followed him to The Decatur Social Club. That's a place that's been raided multiple times for illegal bookmaking and illegal sports gambling. And as it turns out, Abrahamson had a letter of reprimand in his personnel file for taking a city truck there, and Target 12 caught him there once again.

According to Tim White, after that series ran, Mayor David Cicilline vowed to clear house at the city sewer department.

Airing Monday night at Eyewitness News at 10 on FOX Providence, and at 11 on WPRI-12, Target 12 will give an update on all of the players that were implicated in this investigation, and a new twist.

"It's probably the biggest surprise yet in this "Down the Drain" investigation," said White.
