'Jeopardy Kids' welcomes Cranston girl

(FOX Providence) - A local Cranston girl, Jessica Anderson, got the opportunity to compete in “ Jeopardy Kids” in California.
She says she has been watching the show “every single night.”
Jessica took an online test which qualified her to take part in the next stage of tryouts in Boston. Quickly following the audition, the Anderson family received a life-changing phone call.
Jessica's parents, Dawn and Jeff Anderson, said the phone call was "a moment a parent will never forget.”
Jessica is taught at home by her mother and has since stepped up the studying to prepare for the game show.
The show is taping in California this week and will air in July.
