Snowfall causing slick road conditions

Some accumulation expected in RI, Mass.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Snow has begun to fall across Southern New England, which may lead to a slippery commute Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts that lasts until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

According to Eyewitness News Meteorologist Michelle Muscatello , light snow showers and flurries are expected to turn steadier as the evening goes on.

Muscatello said snow may be heavy at times and accumulation of 2 - 4 inches are likely.

The snow is expected to taper off in most areas by early Tuesday morning.

Freezing temperatures are also expected with High's in the upper 20s.
