COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) – A tractor trailer slid off the highway early Friday afternoon, crashing into a nearby embankment.
The Emergency Management Agency has been warning drivers to get off the roads to allow plow drivers to do their jobs and keep essential roadways as clear as possible.
"If you're traveling right now hopefully you're headed home or to your destination," said Peter Gaynor of the Providence Emergency Management Agency.
The 18 wheeler jackknifed on Route 95 North in Coventry near exit 6A.
There is no word if anyone was injured.
