WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - With a major winter storm expected to impact Rhode Island by mid week , airlines are taking steps to help travelers stay ahead of the weather.
Chief Meteorologist Tony Petrarca said the snow will likely start falling Wednesday morning and intensify in the afternoon. Heavy winds are also expected.
On Monday, United and Southwest were encouraging travelers at T.F. Green to change their flights because of the storm. United was offering passengers the chance to switch their flights, without paying a fee. Southwest was doing the same for passengers flying into Providence.
