Mayor hires auditor to study bad check

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - After allegations surfaced that Mayor David Cicilline's brother, John Cicilline wrote the city of Providence a bad check, the Providence Joural reports the mayor has now hired an outside forensic auditor to investigate.

A spokesperson for Mayor Cicilline says it's too soon to tell how much the audit might cost. John Cicilline was sentenced just last week for conspiracy.
