Day 2: CVS Caremark Charity Classic

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Another CVS Caremark Charity Classic, is in the books.

This year, WPRI-12 was a proud media sponsor, as some of the world's greatest golfers came to rhode island, to raise millions for charity.

Nick Price, and David Toms won the tournament  with a combined 36 hole total of 16 under. The pair won a cash prize of $300,000 dollars.

Tuesday's weather was a little more cooperative for the players, and the fans.Thanks to the support of thousands of volunteers, sponsors, golfers, and fans, this prestigious tournament had brought world class professional golf to Rhode Island.

The Charity Classic has been able to provide over $12 million to regional charities, with a record $1.8 million in 2009.
