Barrington native and 2 time Associated Press award winning sportscaster Patrick Little joined the Eyewitneess News team in June of 1998 as weekend sports anchor. Patrick was promoted to Sports Director at WPRI on January 1st, 2000. Prior to returning to Rhode Island he worked at WMUR TV in Manchester, NH as a producer, reporter and anchor for 4 years.

For Little, a 1994 graduate of St Anselm College in Manchester, NH, "being able to come back to RI and work in the state I grew up in was a dream come true."

His first taste of the media was in high school while interning at the Providence Journal. "I was covering a PawSox - Columbus Clippers game and I had to interview Deion Sanders! After spending 5 minutes with him I knew that this was what I had to do for a living!"

Being involved in the community that he grew up in is very important to the 1990 PCD grad. Patrick is on the Big Brothers of Rhode Island advisory board, and is a part of yearly fundriasers for both Meeting Street School and Special Olympics Rhode Island. He is also activly involved in research and fundraising or Butler Hospital which treats both children and adults for mental illnesses, substance abuse and addiction.

In 2008 Patrick was named sportscaster of the year by the Rhode Island High School Athletic Directors Association for his dedication to covering local high school sports.

In the last decade Patrick has covered both Red Sox World Series championships, 4 Super Bowls, 3 NCAA basketball tournaments, the Daytona 500 3 times, both the women's and men's U.S.Open golf tournaments, and the Ryder Cup.

Patrick, his wife Jenn, son Connor, daughter Casey and dog "Bogey" live in Bristol. In his free time you will probably see Patrick on a golf course! ( plittle@wpri.com )
