BOSTON, MASS. (WPRI) - To commemorate America's most beloved ballpark's 100th birthday, workers at the Louisville Slugger factory are making special bats this week to mark the anniversary of baseball's oldest ball park.
The bats are being turned out at the company's Boston factory.
Officials for the company say they're going back to the old 1912 era logo and adding a 100 year Fenway Park anniversary logo.
More than a dozen Red Sox players swing Louisville Sluggers.
The bat company has been around 28 years longer than Fenway Park and has had a special connection to the Boston Red Sox.
Louisville was twice the home of the Red Sox farm club, the Louisville Colonels, most recently during the late '60's and early '70's.
