(WPRI) - The Providence Bruins shutout the Springfield Falcons 3-0 Sunday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

The P-Bruins got their goals from Zach Hamill, Jeff LoVecchio and Jamie Arniel, and goalie Dany Sabourin recorded his second shutout of the season stopping all 26 shots he faced.

After a scoreless opening period, the P-Bruins took a 1-0 advantage at the 18:10 mark. Mikko Lehtonen took a shot from the top of the left face-off circle and the puck was tipped in front of the net off the stick of John Lammers. The loose puck ended up on the stick of Hamill, who tallied his eighth goal of the season. Providence led 1-0 going into the second intermission.

The P-Bruins made it 2-0 at the 1:24 mark of the third period. The Falcons turned the puck over in their own end and LoVecchio picked it up in the slot. He fired it into the back of the net for his team leading 12th goal of the season.

Providence finished off the scoring at the 12:11 mark. Hamill had the puck in his own end and worked it into the neutral zone for Lammers. He found Arniel along the left boards who pushed the puck into the net for his eighth goal of the season. The P-Bruins went on to the 3-0 victory.

The P-Bruins are back in action at The Dunk Friday at 7:05 p.m. for T-Shirt Night against the Monarchs.
