The P-Bruins took a 1-0 lead at the 14:33 mark of the opening period.  Calle Ridderwall held the puck halfway along the boards and sent it to the left point for Bartkowski.  He shot it towards the goal where it went between the legs of Falcons goalie Mark Dekanich and into the net for his first goal of the season.  Providence led 1-0 going into the first intermission.

Providence made it 2-0 at the 9:52 mark of the second period.  Carter Camper had the puck along the boards and sent it to the point for Colby Cohen.  He sent it to the opposite point for Bodnarchuk, who fired it into the net for his third goal of the season.

The P-Bruins continued the scoring at the 18:15 mark.  Jamie Arniel had the puck and sent it off to Bobby Robins.  He fed it to Riendeau, who tallied his first goal of the season.  Forty four seconds later the P-Bruins scored again to make it 4-0.  Riendeau netted his second goal of the game and the season, while Kirk MacDonald and Bartkowski recorded the assists.  The P-Bruins led 4-0 going into the second intermission.

The Falcons got on the board at the 9:56 mark of the third period.  Matt Calvert tallied his seventh goal of the season, while Alexandre Giroux and Martin St. Pierre picked up the assists.

Springfield pulled within two goals at the 12:54 mark.  Dalton Prout netted his second goal of the season, which was unassisted.  The P-Bruins finished off the scoring at the 18:57 mark.  Bartkowski scored an empty net goal, his second of the game and the season.  It was unassisted and Providence went onto the 5-2 victory.
