BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Five more golfers have been added to the lineup for the 2012 CVS Caremark Charity Classic.

LPGA stars Suzann Pettersen and Morgan Pressel will join Champions Tour players Jeff Sluman, John Cook, and Jay Haas at the event, June 17-19 at Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington.

Pettersen, the No. 3 ranked woman golfer in the world, has earned eight victories on the LPGA tour, including the 2007 LPGA Championship.  Pressel, a two-time winner on the LPGA tour, returns to the CVS Caremark Charity Classic for the fourth time.  They join an already high-powered group of LPGA players previously announced including Annika Sorenstam and Yani Tseng.

Six-time PGA and four-time Champions tour winner Sluman is a two-time CVS Caremark Charity Classic champion (2003, 1999).  Haas won the event in 2004.
