(WPRI) - The 2009 season came to a close on Labor Day in Syracuse as the PawSox fell 5-3 to the Chiefs.

T.J. Large gave up 3 runs in the eighth and took the loss. Large (3-4) gave up three hits and two walks in one inning.

Enrique Gonzalez worked five solid innings but wasn't involved in the decision. Chris Carter went 3-4 and finished with a team-high .294 batting average. Mark Wagner knocked in a pair of runs for the PawSox.

The final record was 61-82, as the PawSox lost 46 of their last 65 games. The good news is that opening day is slated for April 8, 2010 at McCoy as the Rochester Red Wings come to town.
