(WPRI) - Aerosmith sang about the "Same Old Song and Dance", and that's exactly what Michael Bowden had to be thinking as another teriffic performance was wasted by the 22 year old right hander.
Bowden worked 5 innings, allowing just 1 run, but the PawSox fell 4-1, in Allentown. Bowden (4-6) didn't figure in the decision, but his ERA fell from 3.19 to 3.13 for the season.
The PawSox took 15 of 16 from the Pigs in 2008. This year the Iron Pigs clinched the season series with the victory.
Pawtucket scratched out 6 hits, 3 in the fourth inning as they scored their only run. Dusty Brown drove Brian Anderson home. Brown had 2 hits. Travis Denker had a couple of hits, as well. Drew Carpenter (11-5) improved to 3-0 against the PawSox this year.
Pawtucket (57-78) will wrap up the series in Lehgh Valley on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. Adam Mills (1-1, 3.27) faces Kyle Kendrick (8-7, 3.38).
