PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - Rhode Island's Olympic hero receives another honor in her home state.

On Wednesday, North Kingstown's Elizabeth Beisel threw out the first pitch before the Pawtucket Red Sox double header at McCoy Stadium.

Beisel won silver and bronze medals in separate swimming events at the summer games.

She was honored last week with a ceremony at North Kingstown High School.

Beisel says she is trying to enjoy it all before she returns to college in Florida.

"It's been pretty busy, but I'm trying to sort of calm down and take it easy a little bit," Beisel said, "I leave for school again in five days."
