The fourth time was a charm for the PawSox as they snapped a three game losing streak, defeating Buffalo on Sunday afternoon at McCoy by a final score of 4-1.
Pawtucket (70-60) was lead by pitchers Billy Buckner, Will Inman and newcomer Pedro Beato. Buckner (6-6) was the winner, working 6 innings, allowing a run. Inman struck out a pair in his inning of work and Beato, just acquired from Buffalo in the Kelly Shoppach trade, fanned three of his former teammates in 2 scoreless innings of work. Beato earned the save.
The PawSox got runs batted in from J.C. Linares, Andy LaRoche and Jon Hee. Jose Iglesias went 3-3 to lift his batting average to .269 for the year. Daniel Nava walked twice and reached on an error in his rehab start for Pawtucket (wrist). Nate Spears walked three times and scored twice.
Rochester comes to Pawtucket for a two game series that starts Monday night at 7:05 p.m.
