With a season high 10,227 fans in attendance, the PawSox defeated the Redwings 2-1 Monday night at McCoy Stadium. Che-Hsaun Lin had an RBI (23) sac fly that gave the PawSox the lead in the seventh.
An RBI (44) single by Lars Anderson in the first inning, put the PawSox ahead 1-0. Rochester tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth after a double by Ray Chang. RBI sac fly by Che-Hsaun Lin scored Jose Iglesias to give the PawSox the lead over the Red Wings after seven innings, 2-1. Iglesias was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a pickoff error by the pitcher before scoring.
Lars Anderson led the PawSox with two hits while Podsednik, Gomez and Iglesias each had one. Brain Dinkleman led Rochester with two hits.
Daniel Bard (1-0) earned the win after throwing one hitless inning. For the Redwings, Samuel Deduno (1-2) got the loss. He went seven innings, gave up five hits and two runs.
The last game of the series is tomorrow at 6:15 pm. Brandon Duckworth (7-1, 3.39) faces Steven Hirschfield (1-2, 6.38).
