FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - New England Patriots kicker Steve Gostkowski was at a Cranston school Tuesday to meet a contest winner and talk to the students.
Garden City Elementray 6th grader Laura Antonelli won the "Fuel Up to Play" essay contest, and the prize was Gostkowski speaking to her entire school.
Antonelli, wearing a Gostkowski jersey, read her essay to the school, and then Gostkowski followed and spoke about nutrition.
"I'm here to help send the message to get 60 minutes of exercise daily and eating right and the benefits of dairy," Gostkowski said.
The "Fuel Up to Play" contest was sponsored by National Dairy Council and the National Football League.
