SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - Tickets have gone on sale for New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski's appearance next month at the University of Rhode Island.
The 22-year-old All-Pro tight end, known as "Gronk," will speak on April 12 at Edwards Auditorium on the South Kingstown campus.
Gronkowski, who set an NFL single-season record for tight ends with 17 touchdown receptions, has been recovering from arthroscopic surgery performed last month on his left ankle.
He suffered an ankle sprain in the AFC Championship game. It hampered his performance in the Super Bowl, which the Patriots lost to the New York Giants.
Tickets are available to URI students and the general public.
