INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WPRI) - 11 year old, James Gale, makes his way to Lucas Oil Stadium to rehearse for his big moment, bringing out the game ball for Super Bowl 46.
"I just don't want to mess it up or trip or something," says Gale.
James is the winner of the NFL Play 60 Super Kid contest.
He was adopted from Liberia when he was 5.
He didn't eat well or get daily physical activity.
That changed when he moved to the U.S. and got involved with NFL Play 60, a program that encourages kids to be active.
"Now, I go out and just walk, even with my friends at home just do something like jump rope, shoot a basketball or something," says Gale.
A Patriots fan, James says he is honored to be here with his favorite team.
He's met his favorite player, Wes Welker, and other players and coaches.
Millions of other people will get to see James on Super Bowl Sunday.
"It's going to be a little hard to take in all those people staring at me and I'm going to be on live tv," says Gale.
