PawSox beat Rochester 7-6

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - The Pawtucket Red Sox earned a win Wednesday night on their final homestand of 2009 against Rochester, beating the Wings 7-6.

Fernando Cabrera snuffed out a ninth inning rally that saw Rochester score 4 times against T.J. Large. Enrique Gonzalez pulled the win, going 6 innings, and allowing 2 runs. Cabrera earned his twenty second save in as many tries. Chris Carter knocked a three-run homer and brought in 4 runs. Jeff Natale went 3-4, reaching base 4 times.

The series continues Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.
