Ledo making his mark at St. Andrews

(WPRI) - Former Hendricken basketball star Ricky Ledo is now making himself a star at the prep school level at St. Andrews.

Ledo believes making the switch to prep school was the right thing to do.

"I sat down with my parents," Ledo said. "[Prep school] has smaller classrooms, and it would be better for my GPA. So I'm doing good."

And his new coach is happy to have him on board.

"He has an outstanding resume, and I'm excited to have him," St. Andrews coach Mike Hart said.

But there are some problems Ledo must overcome.

"He needs to repeat his sophomore year in order to have a chance to qualify for the NCAA clearinghouse," Hart said. "It will help him both on and off the court."
