Slam Dunk Lobell

(WPRI) - For the first time in four years, we are honoring an animal as our Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero, and Slam Dunk Lobell, otherwise known as Duncan, a standard bred out of Foster, RI, is most deserving.

Duncan will be one of six horses competing in next years World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, the first time the competition has ever been held in the United States.

However, Duncan is more than just a top performing horse, he is also been the crutch that his owner Judith Catchpole has leaned on while rehabbing her broken back, and overcoming osteoporosis.
