Joe Goniprow

(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Joe Goniprow. Joe is a Barrington native and a senior at Penn who from his defensive tackle position helps anchor the best defense in the Ivy league.

The former RI Gatorade football player of the year and two-time All Stater earned second team All-Ivy honors last year and stands sixth in the league in sacks this season. The Quakers are undefeated in Ivy play and visit Harvard this week with a chance to clinch their first Ivy title since 2003.
