Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero

(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Veronica Napoli. The Newport native this season became Northeastern’s all-time leading soccer goal and point scorer.

In her four years with the Huskies, Napoli helped lead her team to a CAA regular season and tournament title and the school’s first ever NCAA tournament bid. Napoli scored 128 goals at Prout earning All-State honors three times. After completing her degree in International Affairs, she hopes to continue her playing career.
