(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Rakim Sanders. The Pawtucket native and former St. Andrew’s star is leading scorer and rebounder for Fairfield.

The senior shining after sitting out a redshirt season after his transfer from Boston College where he scored over 1,000 points in three seasons for the Eagles. Sanders is hoping to help lead the Stags to another postseason berth, after Fairfield won a school record 25 games and made their 6th NIT tournament appearance last year.
