(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Mike Macchioni. A Warwick native, Macchioni is the Boston Bruins Assistant Strength coach and had a hand in keeping all the organizations top prospects in shape for the season, one that ended with the Bruins raising the Stanley Cup.

The Merrimack graduate has been involved with the Bruins for 12 season and he entered the Strength Training world after his playing career ended.
