(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Katelyn Bouyssou. The Cranston West senior is on her way to South Africa to compete in the Judo World Junior Championships.

The Scituate native is the US's top ranked female at 48-kg and has already earned gold at the Youth Olympic Games and US Senior National Championships. Bouyssou ultimate gola is earning for a spot on the US Olympic team in 2016.
