(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Joao Vicente. The East Providence senior is a defending state wrestling champion who is also a National Honor Society student.

The combination of success on the mat and in the classroom is attracting the interest of college wrestling programs and Joao hopes to compete next year at the Division One level.
