(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is URI senior Jeff Cammans. The North Kingstown native leads the Rams in RBI’s and doubles and is second on the team in slugging percentage and batting average.

Entering the A-10 tournament, the outfielder ranks in URI’s top five in RBI’s, doubles and stolen bases and can move into the top five in hits and runs. His career batting average stands at .315. A finance major and honors student, Jeff will spend the Summer coaching for the Vermont entry in the N.E.C.B.L with an eye to a possible coaching future
