(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Tiverton senior Jacob Kapstein. In less than a month, Kaptein will be following in his older brother's footsteps trying out for Major League teams prior to June's MLB Draft.

At 6'2" with a batting average of .395 and a slugging percentage of .698, Jacob has become one of the most sought after high school catching prospects in New England, but what many Major League teams might not know is that along with his baseball skills Jacob also has a heart of gold.
